Humans have an internal biological clock that helps them anticipate and adapt to the regular rhythm of the day, namely circadian rhythm. Scientific research has shown the importance of circadian rhythm for human health, and led to a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2017.

Tempori is an innovative iPhone and Apple Watch app to help you schedule daily activities based on general circadian rhythms determined by daylight. It offers some timing related advices, and tracks suitability of activities at anytime, based on your schedule.

On iPhone, it lets you set constrained schedules with intuitive gestures, and visualizes them as colorful arcs, together with a color-coded clock for daily variation of light conditions. Since light is the primary signal for circadian rhythm, you can study the year-round daylight conditions at your current location interactively.

The watch app tracks the suitability of those activities continuously, based on your schedule.

Tempori is integrated with the Apple Health app. In both iPhone and watch apps, you can record health activities and save data into the Health app.

If you subscribe to premium features, you can study daylight conditions, daily temperature range and precipitation anywhere in the world, as well as hourly temperatures in US. You can set travel plans on a map, and the watch app will help you prepare for jet lag with automatic schedule shift before the trip. Personal activity data in the Health app will be visualized together with relevant schedules, for convenient comparison. These include sleep analysis, heart rates, dietary energy intake, caffeine intake, workouts, mindful sessions, tooth brushing, and hand washing events. Your historical heart rates and heart rate variability (HRV) are analyzed and visualized, to evaluate heart health and guide workout intensity. Sound levels and BMI are visualized. Tempori can recognize food text and images with the iPhone camera, and provide some nutrient information, including fish mercury levels. You can also measure correlated color temperatures of light sources. In addition, watch face complications offer gentle hints of the most important activity at anytime. If you have not gone to bed after the scheduled bedtime, the watch app will try to notify you based on motion detection.

In summary, Tempori takes advantage of and enhances Apple Watch's essential function: timing. It will help you build habits for health and productivity.

Nothing on circadian rhytms

This app is super cheap, yet it should be free because it gives you absolutely nothing useful for your $1.39. I already know not to drink coffee after 6pm and that i’m most productive before 6pm, everybody does.
It doesn't show you the up and down cycles that change throughout the day to guide you. Wasted a dollar. Forget about a subscription.

Knowing is different from doing. The app and particularly the watch complications are designed to keep reminding users of good habits. Simple habits can go a long way for long term health.

Cool Idea that Needs to be Fleshed Out

This is one of the few apps that I wish actually had notifications. It’s nice to be able to use this as a planner, but it’s pretty bare-bones. I’m looking forward to seeing where this app goes. It has a lot of potential.
