Easier way to get coins

Ok so the game is good and all but we need an easier way to get coins cause not everyone has the money to buy coins so could you make an easier way like a mini game or ads but one other thing why do you have to pay for the trinkets like we got it so like why can’t we just have it so yea that’s all and please consider this.

SAVE YOUR MONEY

I played the Arcana for about a year and a half, so believe me when I say that you shouldn’t bother giving this game a chance. I know the art looks pretty and the premise seems interesting, but that’s all it is. Enticing, but devoid of substance.

The writing in this game is extremely shallow. Character arcs, arguably the most important aspect of any otome/sim game, either fall flat or are completely nonexistent. The world’s magic system is trite and basically does whatever the writers want it to do in the moment, rendering any serious tension nonexistent—including the story’s climax. The whole “mystery” this game alleges to be is ultimately thrown aside because the writers couldn’t satisfyingly follow through on it, leaving an absurd amount of plot threads loose and abandoned as a result. For example: Much of the story’s conflict revolves around preventing the return of a plague that at one point nearly wiped out the entire city of Vesuvia. This plague does indeed return, but it never becomes a problem. There are no consequences; it’s solved through more nondescript magic. The entire plot line (the CENTRAL plot line) is a red herring for the “real conflict”, i.e. a lackluster battle between good and evil. Unsurprisingly, you defeat this great evil with more magic.

If you get this game, all you’re getting is a pretty people flirting simulator, but that’s only assuming you can afford it. Though you certainly can play the Arcana to completion without spending a dime, all of the romance and more interesting plot content (such that it is) is blocked by absurdly expensive paywalls. You CAN earn in-game currency through mini games, but you’ll be grinding for weeks before you could possibly purchase anything of worth. In that sense the game is designed to push the player into making micro transaction after micro transaction until you’ve spent over $100 USD on a single route. Seriously, I did the math. One route for a 17 chapter visual novel somehow costs more money than any mainstream console game. And if you think that’s an unfair comparison, take this into consideration: Mystic Messenger, arguably the most famous mobile otome game there is, has no main story content paywalls, an original score, unique gaming mechanics, voice acting, 77+ days of gameplay, and guess what? It’s *actually* free. You earn in-game currency so quickly, just by playing the game naturally, that you can easily afford any supplementary content. And that’s just one game. Mobile otome is somewhat notorious for relying too heavily on micro transactions, but scale-wise Nix Hydra is still FAR more expensive than most, and gives far less for what it’s worth.

Lastly, I’m just going to be frank: The developers are terrible to their fans. All of these complaints and more have been levied at them throughout my time with this game, and they not only fall on deaf ears, but the developers actively condescend to their audience and dismiss our frustrations out of hand. Look up the Kickstarter drama for this game (they didn’t give their backers most of what they were promised) and the glassdoor reviews for Nix Hydra. It’s bad. Save your money.
