Description

Welcome to Thimbleweed Park. Population: 80 nutcases.

A haunted hotel, an abandoned circus, a burnt-out pillow factory, a dead body pixelating under the bridge, toilets that run on vacuum tubes... you’ve never visited a place like this before.

Five people with nothing in common have been drawn to this rundown, forgotten town. They don’t know it yet, but they are all deeply connected. And they’re being watched.

...Who is Agent Ray really working for and will she get what they want?
...What does Junior Agent Reyes know about a 20 year old factory fire that he’s not saying?
...Will the ghost, Franklin, get to speak to his daughter again?
...Will Ransome the *Beeping* Clown ever become a decent human being?
...Will aspiring game developer Delores abandon her dreams and stick by her family?
...And most importantly: how come no one cares about that dead body?

By the end of a long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, all of this will be answered -- and you’ll question everything you thought you knew.

In a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

Return to a classic format

It’s been ages since I’ve played a point and click game that had the charms of old Lucasarts humor and quirky setting. Ron Gilbert has not lost touch on creating a 2017 original. While I understood there were significant modifications to the original game, like having that to-do list was helpful but took away the hours needed to figure out what to do next. This shortened my game play to about 24 hrs total, and I admit I needed the tip hotline on a couple of occasions where it wasn’t particularly obvious to do a certain action. But this is what the puzzles are for, to think outside of the box, to put two things you think are absurd together, but make perfect sense in the game. If you’ve played classic Lucasarts point and click games, you’ll certainly enjoy Thimbleweed Park and all its 80s references (if you’re old enough to even know what they’re referring to).

It’s Like Being a Kid Again

When I heard this game was coming out I couldn’t contain my excitement. Ron Gilbert is one of my favorite game creators and I’ve been playing his games since I was little. The very first computer game I ever bought was Monkey Island and the funny part was I never even had a computer! Thimbleweed Park brings back the point-and-click world in a game that is eerily familair. Thanks for making a great game and I enjoyed reliving my childhood; this time I actually had my own computer. :)
