Needs some basic features
Great camera, but the software.
Went out for a short drive, bite to eat. Camera creates 1 minute files, so i have about 60 files from my outing. What’s missing?
NO Thumbnails. So you have to weed thru 60 files.
NO All Download to device(i.e. iphone photos app). So if i want my 60 files on my iphone photo app(which has thumbnails), i need to download photos 1 at a time, 60 times! From the app to the phone. You can select all to delete, you can select all to play, but for downloading its one at a time. Wouldn’t be a big deal if it was just a few files, but the device records in 1 minute segments which means a massive number of files can be created. Basically you have to pop the micro sd card, put it in its cradle and take it to a computer to get at your data.
Oh i forgot one step. To get the data from the cam to the app, took 35minutes of wifi downloading(iphone 13pro, sitting 12 inches away from the cam on the car dashboard). After that step then you do the download 1 file at a time for each of the 60 files. Utter madness.
M1 dash cam- app not working correctly
On live view the playback freezes and goes grainy. When watching a playback of video you have to download it to phone and then it will actually play without any issues. This needs to be fix as live view should actually work! Please fix this as the product is not cheap but this makes it a waste of time and money.
Works Fine
This brand is the standard for dashcams. It works well.
Most of the negative reviews on here are from irate people who are using the wrong app for their device, did an incorrect install of the hardware (likely themselves). Or do not know how to use their hardware and the app.
Get your dashcam installed by a professional and have them show you which app you need and how to use it.
