Terrible Scam Artists
Watch out you’ll get ripped off cash like I did. The delivery drivers (not all) will purposely try to scam you by being sneaky. Also the customer service does nothing to help if you get wrong or bad food… I’ve had food poisoning twice from this place because they take so long to deliver. Go out and get your own food, save yourself!
Scammers!
I used tomato 3 times since we’ve been vacationing in Tulum and all 3 times we have been charged an extra $30-50 USD on our credit cards. I’ve had to dispute it to the point that my credit card has blocked them. They said they’ve blocked tomato with numerous customers for the same reason. Two of the three meals were cold and the service agent on WhatsApp was incredibly rude. I deleted the app… hell no!

Hello! This is absolutely not true, we use stripe as a payment provider which is a really trustful service and there aren’t any extra charges on the orders apart the small fee they charge.
If you can provide any details or proof about the mentioned transactions our customer support always there to help, but we didn’t have any information about this case because it’s simply not true!
All the details of the payment are clearly visible on the checkout page and it’s handled by a trustful third party US company.
We are sorry if you had any inconvenience that made you write this dishonest comment, if you reach us out we can assist you, if you really had an issue with the app.
We didn’t even have any disputes to be able to recognize the payments you are mentioning and we protect all the payments with 3D secure validation, so this is nothing else but a dishonest comment with bad intentions.
