• Transmit requires a subscription to use. This subscription includes full access to the Transmit app, as well as access to Panic Sync, our secure online solution for syncing your sites between devices.
• Launch Transmit to begin your 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the free trial at any point, and you won't be charged for using Transmit.
• After 7 days, you'll automatically be billed $24.99/year (or the equivalent in your country) through an auto-renewing subscription.
• An active subscription entitles you to unlimited Transmit app updates, including both minor updates and major new features!
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do, once you reach the end of your subscription period, the app will no longer function. But your data will not be deleted from the app, or from Panic Sync. Simply restart your subscription at any time to use Transmit again.

Great app
Not quite sure about the new licensing... Looks like it want to charge $40 / computer I have even if they are all under the same apple id.
Subscription for utility software = bad
Look, I understand the idea behind subscribing to updates, I get it. But please just stick with the simple model of a an upgrade fee when new major release ships.

Good news: we HAVE stuck with the simple model of charging for each version, if you buy directly from our website! It's ONLY the Mac App Store version that's a subscription. (And that's mostly so we can provide a fully-featured free trial.) The Mac App Store version will also include any major updates automatically, which is a huge plus IMHO and could work out much cheaper than buying directly. But, the choice is yours! Thanks!

No way! If you've already bought Transmit 5, there's no reason to subscribe here via the Mac App Store. Just continue to download it from our website, where we still sell it for a one-time price, and where you'll continue to get minor updates. The subscription version here is just an option (that also includes any major new updates!)
