On August 16th Twitter will disable parts of their public interface that we use in Tweetbot. Because Twitter has chosen not to provide alternatives to these interfaces we have been forced to disable or degrade certain features. We're sorry about this, but unfortunately this is totally out of our control.
- Timeline streaming is now disabled. Your timelines will now refresh automatically every 1-2 minutes instead.
- Notifications for Mentions, Direct Messages, Follows and Follower's Tweets will now be delayed by a few minutes.
- Notifications for Likes and Retweets have been disabled.
- Activity tab has been removed.

Great app. Nice clean interface. Only missing feature is support for groups! Unfortunately, lack of this feature is enough to keep me from using tweet bot :-(
Happy with the purchase!
I was hesitent to spend so much on an application just for Twitter, especially after getting by with the free Twitter app for so many years, but I’m actually really glad I jumped. It’s so much better! It’s a beautiful design with great features. It’s thoughtfully created. I think maybe polls are missing though. The only thing I don’t like is the icon - it’s so ugly :((
Oh joy, finally the egg has hatched!
Tapbots is one of the best developers for iOS and Mac OS I have ever seen. Everything is crafted with great attention to detail and the end user's experience. Their UI is custom built from the ground up and it is what makes Tapbots apps a joy to use. They have no equal. I realize the price tag will cause a lot of controversy, but you have to realize that Twitter is playing Google these days and making questionable moves. One of those is limiting third party Twitter clients like Tweetbot to 200,000 user tokens. That mean the number of people that can use this app until it can longer add new users is an issue. The pricing is a reflection of that limitation. Trust me, Tapbots could have made a fortune at a lesser sale price. They are losing money and their hands are tied. I firmly believe this is the reason they priced it as high as they have. It is not greed but a mehtod to limit their user base. A sad state of affairs caused by Twitter themselves. Nevertheless, I use this app all day long and it is worth the money they are asking. I challenge anyone to find a better Twitter client. This app will receive tremendous support and love from its developers. Over time it will continue to grow the innovative features that Tapbots are famous for. Personally, I am not wasting a minute more. Count me in because it is perfect as is and I won't use anything else. Macs are premiuim priced and in this instance, so is the software for it. Both are worth it. I can't go back to any other client after running the Tweetbot beta for the past few months.
