So as of writing this review (August 11th, 2023), Twitter has officially been rebranded to X and it has been 10 months since the last Twitter for Mac update, and to say the least.... Elon takeover, not going great for Mac. Not a single update, and any updates that have come through have been SUPER half-baked. Not sure if he eliminated the team, but should NOT be hard to develop a Twitter app for Apple platforms with Swift. Anyways, thought I'd leave this here, because I am a constant user of Twitter / X for Mac, and it's a true shame that they have yet to update it! Certainly an argument could be made to simply use the browser version that is actively updated... but, besides my argument of essentially the Mac app being a requirement for my use case, I don't think it should be difficult to prepare and release an update for Mac? Nonetheless, happy with all the changes that ARE happening to Twitter / X, just reallllllly want to see them come cross platform!
enjoy twitter but really would like to be able to go back and edit my tweets for spelling mistakes.
Would like twitter to get rid of trolls spewing fake misinformation regarding public health measures during this global pandemic. there isn't a choice for this when you report a fake or harmful person on twitter. Need a misinformation choice.
otherwise I love medtwitter the most. great to share accurate information to keep our country informed
Meaningful updates!
Last week's updates fixed the ability to scroll with a mouse (I could only scroll with a trackpad before). Today's update removed a bug in wich there was a persistent icon notificastion badge. The app is getting better --- just need it to be a little more responsive and faster
