Must-have for freelancers

This app is fantastic.
I’ve used the iOS version for over a year, and I wished I had gotten the desktop sooner to supplement! Access from the menu bar is very helpful, and a nice visual reminder of what projects are being tracked. I use it for sending my clients timesheets and helping compile my invoices.

One thing I would love is an export option for automatically naming the exportable file. I’m sure it’s possible with AppleScript, but I’m not there yet :)

Tyme is more satisfying to use then Tyme 2...

I have used Tyme 2 for a couple of days now and it just doesn’t seem as satisfying and easy to use as its predecessor (Tyme).

Things I liked shifting to Tyme 2:

- I really like the hierarchy of the task layout, categories was a much needed tab. The sub tasks might have been a little too much.

- I do really like the notes view but for some reason the time you submit the notes is not appearing, the time that the note was sent can be really helpful at times.

- I have to say that the cluster of information in the graphs view is great - but then I want to see the notes it swaps me back to notes view with no way back, other then to find my place again in the graphs panel (In Tyme 1 you could view everything simultaneously with speed and ease through your entire project). Also why is “Your Average Day” gone, that was such a good graph

- Search is awesome

- I love that I can place a colour on everything

Things I don’t like shifting to Tyme 2:

- The most annoying thing is having to use the right click feature to do anything (I know you can hotkey it, but you still have to click onto the app to use those hotkeys. At that point I like to just use my mouse)

- I really do miss the small clickable items on the task itself (add time entry, complete task, ”see status” [this one is huge], and $ to time spent).

- Having to right click or press “command O” is not satisfying when completing tasks, the old method of hitting a check mark or complete button was so much better.

- I don’t know why you got rid of filters, but you might want to put it back

- I’m not really liking where those export buttons are placed, the old method of adding projects and now “categories” would be a much better use of that space because I (or anyone else) do not export this on a daily. Those buttons are poorly positioned.

I really want the developers to see this because I genuinely love the Tyme App and I want to see it work flawlessly.
Good job guys but I don’t think I will be switching over to the new Tyme until these changes are made.

Tyme 2 is more cumbersome then productive at times, and Tyme one is just that much more satisfying to use at the current moment.

Developers please take some of my opinions into consideration for the sake of the UX.

Thank you,

Très belle application. Facile à utiliser MAIS une version française serait la bienvenue… le plus vite possible !
