Description

Typist is a typing tutor, which helps you in learning touch typing.
If you have never taken any lessons in typing before, please be patient.
Typing is not difficult but it does take a lot of practice. Avoid the tendency to look down at your fingers while typing. This is a very bad habit and is hard to break later. It may be slower when you first start. But, touch typing is far faster once you get the hang of it.

Course T is recommended to beginners. If you have experience in typing, Course Q or S may be good for you.

Great tutor!

I wish we could use the back space, just like i’d do in real life. As an option would be good.

Apart from this, great app. Minimalist in the interface, but the way the technique is implemented makes it a nice tutor.
Oh, there is NO WAY to contact support.

A really nice little prrogrmme.

An excellent programme. I'm already a decent 10-finger touch typist but this programme is great for polishing what I already know because over time sometimes I get a little sloppy. The programme gives you a score and lets you know how accurate you are. For this purpose I could not ask for more in such a programme. And given it's free it's even more of a bonus. This programme would be worth paying for. Even if I was a total beginner, this programme might be all I'd need — besides lots and lots and lots more PRACTICE! :)

Good for the price

It’s a great little app for learning the basics of touch typing. And it’s also good for practicing what you already know. My main concern with the app is how they teach some of the keys on the keyboard such as the numbers. They say to use your ‘f’ finger to type ‘4’ but the ‘4’ key is much better reached by the ‘d’ finger since the distance is shorter. Small concern but you should be aware of it.
