“Unread, now developed by Golden Hill Software, is one of the more elegant options based on comfortable gestures and a focused reading experience.”
–Federico Viticci, MacStories
“Unread’s new functionality maintains its support for the latest RSS features, but ensures a pleasant reading experience remains at the forefront of its priorities.”
–Josh Ginter, The Sweet Setup
“Unread is one of my favorite reading apps on iOS.”
–Preshit Deorukhkar, Beautiful Pixels
“All told, Unread 2’s trackpad and cursor support has naturally morphed from the app’s still-great swiping-only navigational system, and, at least in my world, has made Unread as good a desktop RSS processor as it was a comfortable RSS reading app.”

The best RSS app ever made, hands down.
I have never written an app review before. Apps are either good or not, who cares for my opinion. But I want to particularly point out how good Unread 2 is: it’s one of the reasons to continue using RSS today. It’s gorgeous, and the work put into it humongous. It formats the internet into a human readable and digestible form. I messaged the dev at 1030am on a Friday asking for help, the issue was sorted by 1pm. I don’t think there’s a more important app on my phone today. :)
Excellent app is even better now
I really love the new feature that fetches the actual web page text for stubs in feeds. This is such a delightful and pleasant app. I just like reading in this app.
still the best RSS reader!
I’ve loved Unread since all the way back when Jared was sharing early, pre-release design teasers, right up to today, with Golden Hill Software’s big 2.0 release.
Still the most visually appealing RSS reader on iOS — layout, colour options, and typography combine for an elegant presentation that keeps me coming back.
