Vancity enviro Classic Visa* and enviro Gold™ Visa cardholders can now view transactions and balances within the Vancity Mobile app:

- An updated view in Accounts with your current Visa account balance(s)
- An Activity page showing your:
o Account details
o Available credit
o Pending and posted transactions
o Vancity Rewards points balance (if applicable)
- We also included bug fixes to improve the overall experience

If you don’t see your Vancity Visa cards in the mobile app, add them through online banking (desktop only) or by calling Card Services at 604-648-5189 or toll-free 1-855-648-5189.

Please note, Primary Cardholders and Authorized Users will have different views of their Visa account information in online banking and the mobile app.

Very tedious, slow app

Nearly every button on the app leadings to a “Loading” screen which takes unusually long. Sometimes up to 10 seconds just to be shown a login screen. If doing something takes 5 button presses, expect 50 seconds of just “Loading” (plus the time required to view and input information). The absurd wait time is present on both Wifi, 4G and 3G; it’s not a connectivity issue.

The app should load data in the background and pre-fetch data. This would help reduce these ludicrous “Loading” screens.

Websites do not need loading screens, so why is his acceptable on an app? I last saw loading screens on old video games.

My utmost respect to Vancity and the devs of this app. I say this to help you improve the experience, as a developer myself.

Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear about your issues with our app. Your recommendations would need us to build out a new architecture for the app which we're looking into for a future release. We also were having some core banking slow down the other day when this was reported that might have been involved in your poor experience. Are you still having the same issues?

Now if we could just assign friendly names to accounts in the App it’d be 5 stars.

Extremely long lag times

I really appreciate having this app, but every single button press takes 10-15 seconds to load at least. This has been getting gradually worse recently to the point that I dread having to use the app for anything. I couldn’t deposit a cheque because clicking to select an account simply didn’t do anything, however long I waited.
