Disappointed

I loved your app because of simplicity of use but lately I’m not liking it at all. The inability to view pictures in posts and now all the ads for external websites and apps. I guess I will move on to a different buy and sell site

Hi there! Our developers are aware of the item images issue and are working hard to get it fixed. If you'd like to be notified when a fix is released, please write to our Help Desk at https://contact.varagesale.com In the meantime, there is a possible workaround. If you scroll the item page up a bit and tap on the photo while it is scrolled almost all the way to the top of the screen, that should open up the picture in full screen. You want to scroll it up so that about half the photo is cut off, then tap on it. From there, you will also be able to swipe through the additional pictures in that listing.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about ads - we totally hear your frustration. The thing is, ads are a necessary strategy for so many companies in order to keep the app/product free for and accessible to everyone. Think of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Pretty much any app you love has ads - it’s how they continue to offer a quality product for free :)

What I can tell you is that ads on VarageSale are only in testing mode right now. That means we’re on the lookout for member feedback and we want to know what you like and don’t like when it comes to ads. The best thing you can do is write in to the Help Desk (same link as above) so that your feedback can be properly ticketed, tracked, and passed along to our Product Team. I really hope you’ll write in!

Too aggressive control by administration

The administration in the city I am in (Calgary) is super aggressive and they delete adds without talking to you and are very controlling of the system. Makes it very frustrating to work on the system selling stuff. Also where people are in the city is not available making people waste each other’s time the bail when the find out the the product is 30 k away. It is a shame because if it were not for the two issues this would be a much better app then Kijiji or let go.

I really can’t stand this app now for selling because they administration keeps deleting stuff and is way to word for word on if you post several of the same item for sale you have to take a photo of each one even though they are the exact same thing and the corporate administration doesn’t care.

Power hungrily administration is out of control in Calgary making a good app bad.
