One of the best games out there… *was* one of the best games out there.
This is one of the most visually appealing, audio creative and gameplay genius games I’ve ever played. Years back on the first year of release, I played this on my grandmothers iPad as a child. Im now an adult. This game was brilliant. It was level based and all about parkour. The only way to earn coins was to play the levels and keep re trying. There were minimal cash asking options, it’s very well made and I absolutely loved the game. One of the best games on the App Store, truly. I haven’t played since I was a child but decided to install the game for some nostalgia.
Upon searching for this game on the App Store , I see the all familiar vector game and a little bit of a changed icon, with the (first red flag) 2023 ribbon on the bottom right of the logo. This already set of little alarms in my head. I installed the game, and what do I see. An ugly new modern GUI that’s used for silly shooter games. Disappointing unoriginal GUI compared to the original level based dark design. It has video rewards for ads which I as afar as I know were present in the older version but minimal. The GUI is crowded hard to navigate with annoying pop up’s and shiny red bright boxes and little advertisements everywhere. This isn’t what vector run used to be, it’s legacy will be remembered as a clean game that was well maintained with great visuals and amazing GUI. Back to the whole cash grab scheme. It has LOOTBOXES…? Lootbooxes? What is this, is you’re community a joke to you, devs? You threw one of the best games under the bus. One of the most brilliant and fantastic games I’ve played on mobile especially of this age. One of the last games that was untouched and actually unique and interesting. It’s now this corporate cash grab, passionless. How extremely and utterly disappointing.
