Im gonna say why ur lost 1 star. Yes, I LOOVE making edits on this app, but please let me have multi layers for free. 🥲

Sorry, we can't do that, it wouldn't be fair to those that paid for it. Just a few months ago you couldn’t use Multilayer at all without paying. We changed that to allow the 1 layer for free. When people ask for 2 layers they usually want watermarks and overlays but you can do that for free, outside of multilayer
Tap new/re-effect and tap on the “T” icon and choose the ‘One Line’ effect or the ’Two Lines’ effect. Then tap the up arrow in there to locate the text where you want on the screen.
Another way you can do that is by adding text on a layer in multilayer and then tap the icon that looks like 3 horizontal lines and tap ‘export mask’ then tap that same button to ‘import as shape mask or erase mask’.

Why does everything need money?
The app is great but it sucks that I can’t use ANYTHING because I have to pay for it. I wish it were free😢.
