What’s New
Version 1.5.0
In case you missed it: now you can automatically upload videos from your computer straight to your Vimeo account.
Just pick a folder on your computer, connect it to your account, and we’ll handle the rest. Any time you’re connected to wifi, all the new videos in your synced folder will get automatically uploaded to Vimeo, so you don’t have to worry about interrupting your workflow! It’s a real time saver, so download or open the app to get started.
Update: since the last release, we fixed a couple minor bugs.
Ratings and Reviews
Imperfect but useful
I use this all the time to upload videos.
A couple of faults:
- It fails to upload if you copy a file into the upload folder that is on a different drive (common with video editing). It first has to copy and then start uploading. If you first copy to the drive with the upload folder, and then move the file into the upload folder it works fine, but not if it has to first copy the file. Vimeo should detect that a file is copying and wait before warning that it has failed to upload.
- Can be confusing if you have a failed upload but your file remains in the upload folder. If you move it out and back in, will it resume uploading the first attempt or will it create a new upload, or just do nothing?
- Does not launch on restart even if you check "launch on startup". This means you copy files to the upload folder and nothing happens. If you start the app after copying, it does not start uploading the files put there before the app was launched.
Out of Date
It hasn't been updated in 2 years, doesn't support Apple Login (obviously), it really should just be a plugin for Final Cut Pro, not a complete separate app. I'm not really sure what the point of this app is, since you can't login into it with Apple login.
Won't run under Mojave
Froze on the login screen from the menubar drop-down, which keeps hiding itself.
Won't show up in the force quit menu, so I had to go to Activity Monitor (where it was taking up 100% of my CPU) to kill it.
Deleted the app within five minutes of donwloading it. Wheel and come again Vimeo.
