Voxel is the original App Store 3D pixel editor! It's like Minecraft without all the mining. Use it to create simple sculptures, 3D icons, game-levels, or just to doodle with blocks.
Voxel is easy enough for kids to enjoy, but it is also designed for creative adults. Advanced users will appreciate Voxel's layering and advanced keyframe animation tools. Upload your models to the online gallery!

Simply tap in empty space to create the first block. From there you can attach new blocks to it by tapping any face. Or, toggle the grid guide to put blocks exactly where you want them. A color palette lets you change colors. Drag your finger on the selected block to rotate your view. Use a two-finger-swipe to rotate the view as well. Use the familiar two-finger pinch motion to zoom in or out -- or just hold your finger in one spot.

Now make models for use with Minecraft -- Voxel now imports/exports .binvox format!

Awesome idea awful controls

One thing will give this five stars and it's better controls till then this app is totally useless, it's a pain in the &$$ to use I think u should focus on bettering ur finger control and forget about tilting controls, the touch controls are already easier but need a lot of fixing, remember sometimes simpler is better , it is very crucial to get to the angle u want fast and easy (google earth does- greet job at it for 3d surface)

Best of luck, this could be a #1 app if the proper work is done.

This is now! This is the future! Nice visuals and maybe one day a tool to design cities.

Great Concept, lots of potential!!!

Just got into voxel creating, found this app and its much better then the others out there...

Problems I have run into are:

touchy controls, you can move with your stylus but sometimes you will put a block in the middle of nowhere.

Apple Pencil doesn't work to well when it comes to adding blocks.

Crashes when you up res something from 1 block to 4 block and so on. Crashes and runs really slow when I had a huge creation that I up scaled to add more detail. I'm on a iPad Pro 9.7 and it had issues with this.

Exporting to voxel app on MAC or PC didn't export the whole design, it only exported half, not to sure if that was user error or what...

Exporting objects works great cause you can use them for assets in games and so on. Doesn't export in colour though which is sort of a minus.

Lots of potential for this slightly expensive app, but it was worth it if you use it with patience...

4 of 5 starts because it still needs work, but I like what it currently has to offer.
