Join Sam Harris—neuroscientist, philosopher, and New York Times best-selling author—on a meditation course for beginners and experienced meditators alike.
There are hundreds of meditation apps on the market, and several do a fine job of teaching the basic principles of mindfulness. But most present the practice as though it were an ancient version of an executive stress ball—whereas it’s more like the Hubble Space Telescope.
The purpose of meditation isn’t merely to reduce stress or to make you feel better in the moment—it’s to make fundamental discoveries in the laboratory of your own mind.
“I’ve been incredibly impressed with this app. Whether you want to sharpen your mind or experience more peace, this can help in dramatic fashion. The power of its progression is hard to overstate.”

Ratings and Reviews
The venerable and generous Sam Harris has condensed years of research into this app. Lend yourself a few minutes for a better outlook on life. 15minutes on a lesson or meditation will give you so much.
Thank you Sam.
Best and most useful app I have ever downloaded
Great meditation app with guided meditations and excellent lessons to go along with them.
Would recommend this to all of my friends.
Overpriced - should not be subscription based
Should you do it? YES
Annual subscription? NO, unless you see the app as a way to sponsor Sam’s work.
I am a big fan of Sam Harris. I have many of his books, listen regularly to his podcast and first found him on YouTube. I think the work he is doing is very important but I also think this app is not for a subscription based model.
I have some experience meditating and have used (and continue to use) some.excellent free apps that combine timers and guided meditations.
Sam’s course is good. It gave me a new perspective on the approach and purpose of my practice. However, the course is better suited for a flat-fee model. In my opinion there is not enough value in it for a yearly subscription or for a subscription beyond the time it takes to complete the 50 lessons. The monologs are great but once you complete the course and listen to the monologs there is little (if any) new content to justify a subscription based model. I hope Sam recognize this and drops the subscription model. It seems just the right thing to do. It would be aligned with a “right intention, right action”
perspective. The current model seems to be driven by greed...
