Great app for writers
Werdsmith is a really great app, I found it months ago and have been using it since.
I love how there is an idea section, and a projects section to keep things more organized.
Another great feature is the writing portfolio.
Goal setting and such are all really great features, and the app is really simple but really great to use.
The only wish I have would be to remove the limit of writing pieces for non-members.
I did have a subscription previously, but I haven’t renewed it yet.
I’d love to keep using Werdsmith, but the limit of writing can be extremely frustrating as I have to delete writing pieces or move them to another software to keep using the app.
I was really surprised to find out it was a one-man team, as it’s a great app.
I don’t have any issues with the other paying things, except for the fact non-members are limited.
My recommendation for non-members is to have other software to move writing pieces to be able to still keep them.
I personally use Werdsmith and Evernote.
Honestly, aside from this, Werdsmith is a really great writing app and I recommend it.
I couldn't save anything bc I didn't start my free trial.
I couldn't save anything, trust me I tried. It wouldn't let me start a free trial so I lost everything. The price is too high anyway. I'm sorry but it sucks. Ok well it's a good writing app if you have a lot of money to spend. I'm deleting it tho.
Not worth it
I used to like writing on this app, until I ran out of space. Unless you buy a membership, the app only lets you keep six projects. I would rather just write in the notes app for free, than pay monthly for more space here and just about the same experience. There are plenty of better writing apps out there. Don't waste your time with this one.
Developer Response ,
Hey there! Unlike Notes (which is made by the largest company in the history of the world) we're a one-man team and the membership fee is what makes Werdsmith possible. Werdsmith is definitely not for everyone, but if you like having your ideas and projects separate, seeing your progress towards your writing goal as you type, daily writing stats, a writers portfolio, live formatting of headers, bold and italics, novel editing tools, screenwriting features, a passcode lock, a daily writing reminder, sharing features, your own personalised writing portfolio and five different themes - we think you'll like Werdsmith. Otherwise it's totally the same as Notes ;)
