Word Keeper comes with a 1-week free trial period without having to commit to a subscription. No strings attached.
SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase or after the free trial period. You subscription will automatically renew unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings in the App Store after purchase.

I really enjoy this app. I like that it knows the ideal length per genre, and that I can also make my own word count. Uploading an end date, cover, description, are all nice touches too.
I just wish they had it for the MacBook so I could update my progress on there too.

Great but expensive
This app looks amazing and I’ve been looking for this for a while now. But it should be at most a one time paiement. A subscription system seems unjustifiable as it requires no server maintenance, personalized trainer and program, or anything that could explain 40$ yearly. I’d love to use this, but I’m not that rich.

Thanks for the review! We appreciate you taking the time to tell us how you feel and understand why it may feel expensive to you. We like to be transparent, so let us explain why it costs what it does.
We do have server costs. Disk space when using your own book covers, data being saved in the cloud and the system being set up so that we can easily expand and make it available to other platforms are the reason behind that, which brings us to the next point.
Developers, designers, architects, project managers and user experience experts all need to be paid so we can continue to update and release new features. We want the people who work on our app to provide good, solid, quality work and that costs money.
We understand that it may seem like a simple app that shouldn’t be that hard to do and that’s exactly how it should feel. That is the hard work that those people mentioned above got paid to make it feel and look that way, but believe me, there is a monster machine behind the pretty app calculating stats, analyzing, and sending you notifications, all in order to provide the data for you need and want to see.

Great app!
I’ve been searching for such an app for what seems a long time. It’s exactly what I was looking for and, so far, it works perfectly. I finally gave a word tracker that I can easily update. A great motivator to get to that word goal!
