I was using zipzap and remotely over the last year. Been using this for a while to avoid paying unnecessary transaction fee to the other vendors. Being a PayPal service, I'd highly recommend this money transfer app to all of my friends.
My first transfer attempt was cancelled for no apparent reason and I was requested to send photo ID and a bank statement to be able to use the service, which I did.I was instructed to initiate a second transfer, but that transfer was not charged to my RBC account despite providing the correct account details and having more than sufficient funds. Xoom deposited the funds to the recipient’s account before they’re withdrawn and settled from my account. I then got a collections email which I responded to and I was told that Xoom cannot cancel the transaction and take back the funds, they can only accept a Visa/MasterCard debit or credit card to settle the amount. If you use a credit card, the transaction is treated as a cash advance.I would strongly advise against using this service until they figure out a better process for addressing clear deficiencies in their Canadian settlement process.
hey! Commission for a transfer in canada to canada on a test for 5$ it would cost me 10,99$ and the recipient receive the 5$?!!Really?? Taking people for fools and on top, want to make money on their back!!This is called STEALING! 😡😡😡
Transfer from Canada is not straight forward . They send you an e-mail asking for so many documents ID, bank account statement, relation to the recipient etc and they can’t even read French driver license , they took the money already out of my account What a joke!If you want to transfer money urgently to someone avoid this app at all cost After 3 days waiting & sending all the documents they asked for , the app says it is delayed for god knows what reason And if you call they hang up on you cos the wait time is so high
I would have gave it a no-star if I could. In no way is this quick 5mins to send cash... They send an email indicating you have to call in to verify, then they make you send ID, ridiculous customer service, cannot understand a word the reps are saying. They pull money from your account and tell you it may take up to a day for the verification team to verify. Then they send you a cancellation of the payment and delete your account.. and block you from future services... absolutely ridiculous... what a joke! It honestly shouldn’t even carry the PayPal name.. they DO NOT have the same standards whatsoever as PayPal 🖕🏽
Sent some money to my mom for Christmas on December 1, 2021. The transaction is still not completed after 10 days later. The reason is “need to verify the recipient’s information”. However, I have been sending money to the same account last 3 years and now they need to check? I called the customer service and after on hold for 40 minutes I was told the same thing, need to check information. No other answers! I do not know how long it will take.
