Description

The Zoho Assist - Customer app enables you to receive remote support directly from a trusted technician.

1) With the Zoho Assist - Customer app, you can let technicians have a look at your iPhone remotely. The first thing you need to do is to request your technician for a remote support session.

2) The technician will then send you a nine digit session key. This is to ensure that each session is safe and secure. Open the Zoho Assist - Customer app and enter the session key.

3) You can then share your screens with the technician at the other end.

4) After going through the screens and getting an idea of the problem, the technician can communicate with you through the in-app chat. This will be ideal when the technician wants to send you instructions or ask you for quick clarifications.

5) Although you'll be sharing your screen directly with the technician, you're always in control as you can choose to stop/resume screen sharing at anytime.

6)During an ongoing remote support session, technicians and customers can send or receive files of up to 2GB using the File Transfer option.

Not the easiest app to use

Although this app works great to view clients iOS devices when they need assistance, the steps the client has to go through to allow access is very cumbersome. Look at it this way, if a client needs me to view something on their screen it is due to lack of knowledge on how to use their device. Trying to walk them through all the steps necessary to view their display in some cases makes the app useless.

Getting a new user set up using the app needs to be much easier.

Suspicious

I hanged up and blocked the number. I got suspicious when he asked me to check my bank account because the transaction didn’t went through. Why do I have to go through all the loops, when all I need is just to activate my Youtube on my new TV? It even went to an Uber link that says I have a $200 gift which I am not at all interested. After I hang up I tried signing in again not on my phone anymore but directly on my TV and all it asked was to type my Google acct email, that’s all and I’m signed in, no $1 fee no Uber gift nonsense. I think this is a scam! Be wary!

Sorry for the inconvenience. Zoho Assist is a remote support tool used to support customers remotely by connecting to their devices. The connection is allowed only with the customer's consent to ensure access is given to trusted technicians. Do not allow connection if you think it is a scam/hack as it can be misused for illicit purposes. Also, we have the Report Abuse session option in the Settings menu, where you can fill in the form to report any session. You can also go to the History tab and tap a session to report abuse.
