The wind whispers, birds trill, and cicadas chatter. Wild Journey is a meditation app set in the great outdoors, complete with a chorus of creatures who will help you achieve a state of zen.

There are two ways to use the app. Firstly, you can create your own freeform meditations set to different soundscapes.

In Great Groves, rain falls onto the tree branches in constant rhythm, the wind yowls, and boughs creak. In the Ruby Wetlands, birds sing a high-pitched song as water laps gently at the shore. On the Gold Coast, waves roar and crash. Very soon, you’ll feel far, far away.

If the sounds of the great outdoors help clear you mind, Wild Journey could be a perfect meditation companion.

Set the timer for anything between two minutes and eight hours, then select either a guided or unguided meditation. Next, it’s time to just sit back, relax, and decompress. 

The second way to use Wild Journey is to embark on one of its “experiences”—meditation programs completed over several days. For example, Rise With Sun involves six days of guided meditations of between six and nine minutes. 

Start the day with an episode: Learn to visualize your day and control your breathing. Programs are geared toward general wellbeing, as well as more specific goals like better sleep, gratitude, and letting go. 

Browse programs on the slick homepage, and gather stats on the total minutes of meditation you’ve completed, so you’ll get a sense of your meditation journey. Into the wild you go…
