There’s a reason PAC-MAN is a favourite. This compelling pellet-munching little hero is just as good on a handheld device as he was on an arcade in the ’80s. The premise is simple: Gobble down as many pellets as possible in the time limit—and don’t get caught by a ghost!
What we love: Modern PAC-MAN has some cool innovations on the original. There are new maze designs and obstacles to contend with, but also cool mini-games, fun custom skins, your own digital arcade, and power-ups such as fireballs to give you the edge on the pesky Ghost Gang.
Quick tip: Don’t underestimate the power of stillness. PAC-MAN has touch-screen swipe controls now, and you’ll auto-move until you hit a wall in the maze—so time your directional swipes just right to stay on the move. Pause or do a 180 at a corner, and you can avoid the ghosts or make them change their pattern.
