What’s the quickest, easiest way to get a new event on your calendar? Say it aloud!

Here’s how, using Siri or the amazing calendar app Fantastical.

Speak to Siri

Activate Siri and speak the details of your event to add it to your calendar. In macOS Mojave and later, you don’t even have to remember specific commands.

Just say something like, “Schedule lunch with Sharon at 3 on Friday.”

You can even create a complex recurring event: “Schedule a project meeting every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in José’s office.”

Say it, schedule it.

How’s that for quick and easy?

Command Fantastical

With Fantastical, you can create events by typing a description as though you were telling someone about it: “Project meeting every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in José’s office.”

Dictate the details; Fantastical will do the rest.

That’s easy, but make it even easier by combining macOS’s dictation feature with Fantastical’s natural-language processor. Just press the Fn key twice to start dictation (or go to Edit > Start Dictation), say the event details, then press Return.
