There are many incredible sleep apps on the App Store, but few are as intuitive, customizable, and just plain beautiful as Relax Melodies. The app lets you compose your own unique nighttime music by combining soothing sounds like rain, ocean waves, or white noise. Plus it offers bedtime meditations and stories to help lull you to sleep. Ipnos, the developer behind the app, is based in Montreal, where it has a sleep lab to test all these sounds and activities to make them as sleep-inducing as possible.
Jurassic World Alive
You might not know that Québec is home to many of the world’s dinosaurs—er, virtual ones at least. Ludia, the Montreal developer behind Jurassic World Alive, has made it possible to find dinosaurs in your own town with augmented reality (AR). There really is nothing cooler than stumbling upon a velociraptor in your kitchen or seeing a triceratops in your backyard. Plus, once you’ve discovered them, you can feed them and take them into battle against other players.

Home renos are made infinitely easier with the help of this blueprint app that is nothing short of magic. Montreal-based developer Sensopia created this app that uses AR to help you create floorplans of your space in minutes—the app even does the measuring and detects windows and doors for you. Once you have your plan, you can edit where you’d like to knock down walls or build that addition, plus drop in furniture to create the layout you want—and share it all with your contractor.
Game of Thrones Beyond the Wall
Montreal-based developer Behaviour worked with a little HBO series called Game of Thrones for this epic game. Rather than focusing on the fight for the Iron Throne, the game takes you back a few decades and puts you in charge of the Night’s Watch, battling enemies beyond the Wall and uncovering clues to a dark mystery involving a missing Lord Commander. The best part? Getting to play as some of the most iconic characters, including Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.
Budge World – Kids Games & Fun
Parents around the world are already well acquainted with Budge World, a safe, ad-free place for kids to hang out with their favourite characters, like Barbie, Caillou, Thomas & Friends, My Little Pony, and Transformers Rescue Bots. Montreal developer Budge has spent years entertaining children, and with more than 100 games, activities, and video clips all in Budge World, your kids won’t get bored.
Shop Titans: Craft & Build
If your favourite part of a role-playing game is crafting and customizing your heroes, you need Shop Titans, a Montreal-made game where you design your own fantasy shop, plus make your own weapons and gear before sending your heroes on quests. You’re essentially a medieval business tycoon, teaming up with blacksmiths, carpenters, and more, and trading with players all over the world.
