MathTango has a novel idea for teaching kids math: Mix it with monsters and space stations and deserted islands.
Designed for ages five to 10, MathTango operates in two worlds: MathTango Island (where kids can dive into addition and subtraction) and Starbase MathTango (for multiplication and division).
Answering questions correctly also earns you in-game currency called doubloons, which can be used to buy accessories and decorations—like a trampoline or a dance floor for the monsters to boogie on. And each world offers tons of options for customization, so no two islands or starbases are ever the same.
If your child needs more (or less) practice in a certain subject, adjust the curriculum to their needs in the settings. After all, not every kid will love math. But every kid can have a little fun with it.
