Remember when you were a kid building with blocks? A house here, a bridge there—the only limit was your imagination. Or your parents when they interrupted you for dinner.
And here you are now with your kiddo, building again, creating imaginary railways and mountains all around the house. Before you spoil the moment asking your kids to have supper, we want to introduce you to the latest update of PlayKids, one of our favourite apps for kids.
Junior, a puppy, takes your kiddos on a train with different wagons and educational activities where they find books to help them learn about shapes, music videos to teach them vowels and numbers, and funny mini-games like The Piano to help them recognize animal sounds, like those of dogs, cats, pigs, and cows.
Junior is also the main character of his own mini-game. He teaches kids how to build houses and bridges using 3D blocks, so they can develop spatial awareness. And a SuperHands video series shows them how to build things with objects available at home.
In a safe and intuitive environment, free of advertisement, they can let their curiosity take them to new heights.
If you’re running iOS 12 or later, you can also set up Siri Shortcuts in Settings that will allow you to access your kid's favourite videos or books in the app quickly. Try something like, “Play Junior on the Job” or “Cartoon Time” to shuffle downloaded videos.
Remember how much you loved building as a child? Now it’s time for you to dive into PlayKids with your kiddos and discover how far their imaginations can go!
