Toca Mystery House

Play with the strange

View

Like Toca Boca’s other apps, Toca Mystery House conjures a colourful, dynamic, and kid-safe world for children to dive into. But whereas other Toca titles explore a real-life activity—like dancing or cutting hair—this one taps into the surreal and spooky.

Dark doorways look spooky, but there’s always fun on the other side.

Your mission: to explore a dark, cavernous, and moody house, and to embrace the unknown as you go. You and your child will come upon long hallways, twisting staircases, and glowing pairs of eyes—and with each courageous swipe and tap, you’re rewarded with enchanting puzzles to solve, potions to brew, music to perform, and charming creatures to meet. There’s a ghoul in the basement, aliens in the attic, and a lot of strange characters lurking in between. Oh, and a few friendly ghosts too.

Yeah, there are monsters here. But they can quickly become friends.

Just about everything in this house—whether it’s an open window, a skull on a shelf, or a path that seemingly leads to another dimension—is interactive. Tapping on a photo might offer a clue for a chemistry experiment later on. And that slime dripping down a wall may have a hidden purpose (beyond grossing you out).

There’s a ton of adventure to be found, and it’s all more silly than scary. Presented in Toca’s signature animated art style, Toca Mystery House masterfully evokes an otherworldly bedtime story.
