Description

As the premier Air Force Cyber Security annual event, the Air Force Information Technology & Cyber power conference has been held annually in Montgomery, AL for the past 34 years. AFITC brings together cyber operators, Air University students and academicians, decision makers, users, providers, program managers, requirement generators, contracting officers, acquisition managers, and finance managers for two and a half days with the common goal of advancing the effectiveness, thought, and dialogue of the Nation’s and Air Force’s approach to cyber and use of IT. A major goal will be to help forge a path for future cyber strategies and initiatives that will help maintain America’s leadership and competitive edge in this critical domain. Close coordination and integration with industry, and learning from industry's challenges, and associated solutions and applications at AFITC is a main focus of how the Air Force will develop, enhance, and deliver transformation cyber capabilities. Similarly, government leader lectures will focus on vision and expectations of the AF Cyber workforce; to educate Airmen and other Service members that industry is ahead of the military in defensive cyberspace solutions, and exhort more innovative energy to solve cyber challenges.
