Description

AerPlants is a mobile application. AerPlants allows you to manage AERMEC heating and air-conditioning systems through your smartphone or tablet, anytime and anywhere.

The machines or systems must support connection to the Aerlink wi-fi gateway via an RS485 serial port. The Aermec products that can be connected to Aerlink, and therefore managed via AerPlants, are: the VMF system using the VMF-E5 zone control and the following ranges of chillers and/or heat pumps - ANL, ANK, ANKi, CL, NRL, NRB, NRK, NLC.

All machines or devices that can be connected to Aerlink must have the corresponding RS485 serial communication accessory. To access remote system control functions, the Aerlink gateway must be connected to the Internet via wi-fi. The resulting control system enables communication with the AERMEC cloud, providing the user with the operational status and controls of the air-conditioning system via AerPlants.

With the AerPlants application on your phone or tablet, you can even control several systems (up to 5), as long as they are all connected to a single properly configured AerLink module. In the absence of Internet access, you can manage the single system locally with AerPlants, turning your smart device (phone or tablet) into the remote control for your air conditioning or heating system.

To associate a system with a device, first assign it a name. You will then be asked to provide the AERLINK serial number of the individual device and the corresponding activation code. This will be followed by a request for the SSID of the wi-fi you want to connect the AerLink module to, along with the corresponding password. The menu will display the list of systems controlled by the device, each identified by a name and an icon indicating the connection mode (cloud or local).

New systems can be added to the list of those controlled by the device (up to a maximum of 5), and systems can be removed from the list. AerPlants can be installed and launched on multiple devices, and the user can log in with their credentials on different devices. The systems connected to the user's AERMEC cloud will be available on all logged-in devices.

For each controlled system, you can see the status (ON/OFF, heating/cooling mode) and the operation of various elements: domestic hot water storage tank, heat pump, fan coil areas. Any active alarms are also shown, and you can see the details of those alarms. It is also possible to control the system remotely - ON/OFF, seasonal changeover (only with the system disabled), set-point, and operating modes of the individual areas and the components of the system.

If the connection is to a single machine, you can control ON/OFF, operating mode (if heat pump), set-point for water production temperature, and any operational anomalies. An energy meter (distributed by Aermec) can be combined with both systems and individual machines to monitor their electricity consumption.

Finally, AerPlants also provides the AERMEC Technical Assistance Services, along with the relevant contact information (telephone number and address). The AERMEC cloud and AerPlants do NOT store any data regarding user preferences. They simply allow the user to enable or disable commands remotely.
