Basic KNX is an application that allows us to quickly and easily test a KNX installation.

To use this application, you must have a running KNX installation which must have an interface with the IP network (KNX/IP Gateway).

This application connects and submits data through "Tunnelling Services" provided by the KNXnet/IP protocol. In future updates, we will add the sending data capability through the "Routing Services".

The application works when the iPhone/iPad is connected to the same network as the KNX/IP interface. This can be via Wi-Fi or VPN.

This application allows the sending of BOOLEAN, BYTE, WORD and DOUBLE WORD data.

At the moment the application is in English and Spanish. Other languages will be supported in future updates.

Macht was es soll

In der Installation mit dem BAB EibPort macht es was es soll.
Handy per WLAN mit dem gleichen Netzwerk.
Man kann sich verbinden und einen Wert an ein beliebige Gruppenadresse senden.
Super Tool zum einfach Test der Installation.

Vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar. Ich erinnere Sie daran, dass Sie auch EasyKNX Lite herunterladen können, das kostenlos ist und viel vollständiger ist als BasicKNX. Mit EasyKNX Lite können Sie auch mehrere Dinge einer KNX-Installation in wenigen Schritten testen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen.

Not very useful

As phones aren't usually connected to Ethernet switches but KNX interfaces usually are, this only works if the WiFi router forwards multicast traffic. If it doesn't (and it really shouldn't), there is no way to specify the interface's IP address since it will obviously not be a multicast address

What you say is correct, BasicKNX is an application that we launched in 2015 and we have not had much time to update it, but you can download EasyKNX Lite that will allow you to connect to the gateway in several ways and you will have many more possibilities than BasicKNX. We are currently working on improving BasicKNX, I hope soon we will be able to release the improvements.
