You only need dog life OR cat life. You don‘t need both.
In dog life you can also play the life of a cat and it‘s light mode without purchase.
In cat life it‘s dark mode and you can get light mode with purchase.

I truly love this app, it‘s super entertaining and fun. But somehow, purchasing topcat is not working. I paid for it, my account has been charged, but i am unable to claim it. I‘ve been restoring, redownloading and repurchasing it. I find this super upsetting, as i paid for it and love this app. Please fix this.
