Search Features:

• CALD will understand and find a word from any grammatical form
• iOS Share. Select any text on Safari sites, emails and share with CALD to get words’ definitions
• Multiple clipboard look-up. Copy any text from other apps and view the words’ definitions one by one when you open the CALD
• Full Text Search. Look up words throughout the whole dictionary content, including headwords and usage examples
• Similar Words Search in case of misspelling
• Wildcard Search. Use “?” and “*” symbols to replace letters if you’re unsure of the correct spelling.

Very good, with still room for further improvements

It would be even greater if the app allowed to practice and improve your vocabulary in many different ways, not only based on flash cards, but also on language levels (C1-C2) for instance.

flashcards not synching

- the flashcards are not synching (1/5 stars)
- the quality of the sound isn’t sufficient when the pronunciation of Am and Br is similar (3/5)

+ smart thesaurus very useful (5/5 stars)

= overall (3/5)

if synching would work and sound’s quality would improve it would get 5 stars

(Example:
“Aardvark” easy to distinguish
“Connotation” not distinguishable)

Simply the best!

I use this dictionary on a daily basis and I can only recommend it! It’s really worth its price!
