It hurts

I wanted a little change in sound for my e-piano, well to my ears this sounds just horrible, somehow even out of tune.
The good part, I like my Avant Grand even better now.

Best Piano Eber

This is by far the best Piano Sound you can get for an iOS device. The sound this App can produce is incredible and almost unbeliavable. I‘m totaly in love with it.

Unusable - E-Piano Set too heavy, clumsy user interface, 10 seconds to load other sound

I wanted a simple, portable E-Piano library. Sounds seen in Demos seemed OK. Bought this for my iPad Air 1 (fits hardware requirements specified by the app maker).

Colossus app is free but useless as it comes empty. You first need to buy expensive instruments by In-App purchase before you can test anything.

Bought the E-Piano set and got shocked. Contrary to all other similar piano and sampler apps I have been using, this one was so hardware-heavy that it got stuck, crashed, or caused crackling noises when playing (even after "killing" all other open apps).

The interface is terrible. There is a fancy background, to select a sound, you need to check a tickbox on an unreadable "handwritten" text floating on the screen. To select another piano (e.g. from FM piano to Wurli), you need to flip pages. Everytime you flip one page, it takes about 10 seconds for loading. If you flip 2 pages, it takes 20 seconds. Then, you end up on a page where the sound variation is still not the one you would like; so when you check the correct one, it loads again 5 to 10 seconds... Instead of 5 pages with fancy background graphics I'd rather have one plain screen with buttons to directly select each of the sounds (FM, Wurly, Rhodes, ...)

By the way, when using as "Audio Unit" from Garageband, the direct access to the sounds is easier. However, the loading time is still 5 to 10 seconds, and often I got crashes.

Although the sounds might be good in theory, the usability is terrible.
I cannot understand why E-Piano samples need to be so heavy? I mean, for an acoustic grand piano that's understandable, but E-Pianos? There are many other apps which manage that far better with much less memory size. By the way, apart from some basic Tremolo and Reverb effects you cannot customize much (which other apps offer).

Very disappointed, wasted my money.

Réponse du développeur ,

We are aware that the loading scheme in Colossus Piano is currently suboptimal in some scenarios. This is expected to be fixed with the next update of this App.
