Feist ist ein wunderschön handgefertigtes Actionspiel. Es handelt von einem kleinen Pelzwesen und dessen verzweifeltem Versuch, seinen Freund aus den Fängen von boshaften Raubtieren zu befreien. Die Reise in die Tiefen eines geheimnisvollen Waldes entwickelt sich schnell zu einem erbarmungslosen Überlebenskampf, da alles in dieser Welt den Spieler fressen will.

Die detailreiche Welt wird durch ein dynamisches Gameplay zum Leben erweckt. Alle Spielelemente interagieren miteinander und erzeugen unvorhersehbare Wechselwirkungen. Die Feinde sind mit einer komplexen KI ausgestattet, jagen den Spieler mit der Entschlossenheit wilder Tiere und überfallen ihn mit roher Gewalt.

Die atemlose Spannung wird getragen von einem atmosphärischen Soundtrack und cineastischen Stil, der an Hensons «Der dunkle Kristall», Norshteyns «Igelchen im Nebel» und Sendaks «Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen» erinnert.
