Description
Digital photo collections can grow rapidly. Remembering where you took all those photos can become a chore. Most cameras don't tag your photos automatically, so you'll need something to help you out.
That's where GeoTagr comes to the rescue. GeoTagr tags your photos with the location where you made them (a.k.a. geotagging).
GeoTagr supports 6000+ types of digital cameras and geotags iPhone, iPad, Mac, Dropbox and Flickr photos.

Kinderleichtes Taggen von Photos!
Die Applikation ist einfach zu bedienen und bietet alles, was es zum Geologging braucht. Das Kaufargument für mich war das taggen via WiFi und einem Shared Folder auf dem Mac: einfach Photos (zuerst) in diesen Shared Folder kopieren (ich nehme jeweils den "öffentlichen" Ordner), in der App auf "Geotag" und dann "Mac Shared Folder" - beinahe fertig! Keine weitere (Desktop-)Applikation nötig!
Die Tracks können auch als "Gesamttrack" oder einzeln als GPX exportiert werden, bequem als "download" mittels Bonjour und Safari (oder Firefox, wobei das iPhone einen "Mini-Server" startet, mit dem man verbindet), via Email, oder sogar mit Dropbox-Unterstützung!
Die so exportierte GPX Datei lässt sich dann einfach mit nahezu jeder 3rd party Geologging-Applikation verwenden und die Photos via Zeitstempel taggen. Diverse online Dienste oder Programme können GPX auch z.B. nach Goggle Earth KML konvertieren, wobei letzteres angeblich sogar auf der TODO Liste des Entwicklers steht.
Für mich wichtig: GeoLogTag kommt auch prima mit meinen Pentax RAW Photos zurecht, wenn ich diese via Shared Folder Option tagge! Und ich meine wirklich nach Pentax-eigene RAW Format (*.PEF) und nicht das Adobe-generische Format (*.DNG). Will heissen: wenn GeoLogTag sogar mit diesem RAW Format zurechtkommt, dann ganz bestimmt auch mit Canon oder Nikon spezifischen RAW Formaten (dies wird wohl ohnehin vom OS X (bzw iOS) RAW Support abgedeckt). Die RAW-Dateien werden dabei NICHT verändert (im Gegensatz zu den EXIF-Daten von JPEG, was okay ist), sondern vorbildlich eine *.XMP Datei, die dann anstandslos von z.B. Lightroom gelesen und interpretiert wird.
Die Akkulaufzeit ist dabei "gut einen halben Tag" auf meinem älteren 3GS iPhone. Auf 4 sollte man dabei auf knapp einen Tag kommen, wenn man alle anderen Dienste (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi detection, ...) abschaltet, wie in den Tipps beschrieben.
In Städten mit unpräzisem GPS Empfang kann die Applikation auch auf Wi-Fi Lokalisierung zurückgreifen. Dies passiert dann natürlich auch in Innenräumen.
Für mich eine absolut nützliche und einfach zu bedienende Applikation! Das tagging selbst funktioniert hervorragend!
