• Transmit requires a subscription to use. This subscription includes full access to the Transmit app, as well as access to Panic Sync, our secure online solution for syncing your sites between devices.

• Launch Transmit to begin your 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the free trial at any point, and you won't be charged for using Transmit.

• After 7 days, you'll automatically be billed $24.99/year (or the equivalent in your country) through an auto-renewing subscription.

• An active subscription entitles you to unlimited Transmit app updates, including both minor updates and major new features!

• You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do, once you reach the end of your subscription period, the app will no longer function. But your data will not be deleted from the app, or from Panic Sync. Simply restart your subscription at any time to use Transmit again.

Hi there! As with any subscription-based app, the App Store shows you all subscription options before you download the app.

For what it's worth, Transmit is available from panic.com without a subscription, just like always.

We're using Apple's official "prompt for review" system and we have zero control how often it pops up. You're not supposed to see it more than once, basically. If you're getting it a lot, e-mail us — support@panic.com — so we can research further. Thanks!

Not free as advertised

They advertise it as free but only for the first 7 days as a trial...

Hello! Unfortunately, we can’t control the way pricing information is displayed on the Mac App Store as that’s all under Apple’s control. All app on the store that require a subscription are technically free to download, which is why you see a “Get” button instead of “Buy”. Transmit does indeed require a subscription of $24.99 USD per year on the App Store. Just like every other app here with a trial subscription, if you cancel your trial before the trial ends (7 days in Transmit's case), you won’t be charged. We do say that front and center after you download the app before you start your trial. Thanks for your feedback!
