Really love what the guys did here. Beautifully designed Mac App as well. Really looking forward to get theses amazing 8K scenes to my apple tv!

Thanks so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you're a Portal fan!

On the Apple 📺 front - you're absolutely bang on the same wavelength as us - we'd love to have Portal's visuals displayed on the larger, higher resolution screens. We've no doubt it'd be an even more stunningly immersive experience especially with a surround sound set up and synced lighting.

The good news is our Mac app is a step in that direction, helping us lay some important groundwork towards making that happen. Not only have we totally redesigned Portal's UI to suit both macOS and tvOS (less touch-oriented than the iPhone & iPad), but we've also put in place all the back of house infrastructure to support streaming that is a necessity now that we can use up to 8K motion visuals on larger, high resolution displays (downloads which is how our iOS and iPadOS apps currently operate just wouldn't be feasible as the files would be far too large). What's more, we've transitioned to SwiftUI to set us up for better cross-platform support, including Apple TV and Vision Pro...

In short, thankfully we're well placed to take things forward on the Apple TV front. We've still got a few surprises up our sleeve to take the Mac experience up a notch or two, and of course we're still a small indie team of four, so I'm afraid we don't currently have a date for when Apple TV will land, especially as Apple are very keen on us bringing Portal to the Vision Pro - but rest assured it's certainly on the roadmap.

I loved portal before, but after the MacApp, lifetime was a nobrainer. Animated desktops and ambient sounds all the time. Hell yeah!
