Only portrait mode?

The title seems only to work in portrait mode. Which means having to hold the iPad in hands all the time instead of being able to use for example the Apple Folio. Why is this when the app is usable in landscape for example on a Nintendo Switch?

J’ai joué une heure. J’ai eu deux énigmes. Le reste c’est des dialogues sans intérêt. Super déçu parce que y avait de quoi faire. C’est super joli mais de grâce, c’est des énigmes qu’on veut pas du blabla!
