Just playing the app for the first time with the new Lumi keys. I am deeply impressed on how well it is made and how intuitive piano learning gets. This is a true revolution. Sorry to hear that apparently in previous versions some connectivity problems happened, but I experience absolute smoothness with a new iPhone. Highly recommend it for anybody, this opens new horizons, and makes a lot of joy.

slow, cumbersome, crashes, bloated, locked-in, appallingly misguided

So long as this app inits current state is the only way to use the Lumi keyboard , don’t buy the Lumi keyboard.

No buyer would have imagined such a crude attempt at lock-in - so crude indeed that buyer now just own a pice of hardware they cannot use.

If anybody is listening at Roli: prune the app, remove video support that just slows down and crashes the app for no benefit at all (who wants to watch the face of a music teacher reading from a teleprompter), make the internet connection optional for simply using the ipad or smartphone as a loudspeaker. Or create a separate light app. Let others write teaching software and exercises, the ones in this app at this stage turned out to have negative pedagogical value.
