Description
Researchers at Monash University have developed the low FODMAP diet and a corresponding app to assist in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The Monash University FODMAP diet works by swapping foods high in fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAPs), with low FODMAP alternatives. Around 75% of people with IBS experience symptom relief on a low FODMAP diet.
The app comes directly from the research team at Monash and includes the following:
- General information about the FODMAP diet and IBS.
- Easy to understand tutorials to guide you through the app and the 3-Step FODMAP diet.
- A Food Guide detailing the FODMAP content for hundreds of foods using a simple 'traffic light system'.
- A list of branded products that have been certified by Monash as low FODMAP.
- A collection of over 70 nutritious, low FODMAP recipes.
- Functions that allow you to create your own shopping list and add notes to individual foods
- A Diary that enables you to record food eaten, IBS symptoms, bowel habits and stress levels. The Diary will also guide you through step 2 of the diet - FODMAP reintroduction.
- The ability to adjust units of measurement (metric or imperial) and activate colour blindness assistance.

Super, aber…
Super App, sogar meine Ernährungsberatung hat es mir empfohlen, aber wenn ich bei den Filtern einstelle, akzeptiert es nur diejenigen, die auf dem traurigen Smiley sind. Also es passt die Lebensmittelbewertung nur an, wenn ich bei den Filtern auf das Smiley in die Mitte oder ganz Rechts tippe.
Alle jene die auf dem Smiley ganz links sind, nimmt es nicht an.
Das ist sehr schade, so gesehen bringt mir die Filterfunktion praktisch nichts.
Hoffe das mal ein Update kommt, dass diesen Fehler behebt.

Hi there, thank you for your review. The filter function does not work if you only select the smiley faces as this indicates that you have no sensitivities to any FODMAPs, and therefore would not be required to adhere to a FODMAP diet. If you have completed step 2 and have no reactions to the various challenges then it is not FODMAPs that may be causing an issues with your IBS. We hope that helps! Stark auf angelsächsische Länder ausgerichtet
Brauchbar sind die Tabellen für Landwirtschaftsprodukte. Nicht aber die für industriel hergestellte Lebensmittel. Fast alle sind in der Schweiz nicht angeboten und lassen sich nicht ausblenden! Das wäre einfach realisierbar! Hierzulande übliche Brotsorten fehlen komplett. Dazu teilweise sehr schlecht bis unverständlich übersetzt. Inulin sollte auch berücksichtigt sein. Könnte eindeutig besser sein! Auch neuer Update wenig verbessert. Da gibts merkwürdiges Gemüse wie: "grünes Gramm" oder "dünner Vegetarier"
