Noteshelf 3 4+

Rocky start, getting better :)

Started off with regular crashes and issues with custom backgrounds, but has gotten way better with every update.
I've now switched from Noteshelf 2, and while there are still a few bugs it's largely stable :)

The two main reasons why I use this app over every other:
- no subscription model!
I will happily pay for major versions, if it means that I do not have monthly or yearly subscription fees even if I stop using the app for a few months.
- fountain pen: really nice line with variable width depending on angle. Feels like a real pen, with a custom background I can really get close to writing on paper. No other app I've tried so far has given me the same experience.

AI stuff: yeah cool, but not really what I need. More a gimmick than a feature, especially as I don't know what happens to my data when it gets sent to another server ^^
Othery may find it useful I guess.

Handwriting recognition works better than Noteshelf 2, I personally don't use it though because I prefer the hand-written look ;)

Some things that are missing for me:

- macOS: rather badly optimised for Keyboard Mouse text editing. For example, can't mark typed text as bold with Cmd B, rather clumsy font and style editing, only small text boxes by default. Functional, but better for viewing than actual note taking, especially compared to a full-featured document editor.

- favourite pen options from Noteshelf 2: I do like how the new version handles the quick access toolbar, but I'd like a few more customisable options where users can add pen/line/colour combinations, similar to the previous version.

- half-circles: First off, amazing work on the "hold to convert to shape". Works very well, especially for straight lines. I do miss the option to draw parabels or half-circles though, those shapes are only recognised as a collection of straight lines.

- If you're ever bored (haha) you can maybe think of adding custom shapes (For example: select a hand-drawn "graph" template and save it as a shape). Quite useful for math-intensive fields :)
- for the very small minority who host their own "cloud" / NAS: sync over Webdav or similar would be quite cool. I'd set the priority low though :)

Minor bug report:
- exporting as PDF with fountain pen line width set to very small (1 or 1.5) results in visibly thinner lines in the PDF compared to noteshelf rendering.

Besser als erwartet

Die App übertrifft meine Erwartungen. Apple IPad Air M3 sehr Ressourcen schonend. Mit der ICloud kompatibel, Pencil Pro nimmt Gesten an, Das Schreibgefühl mit dem Pencil perfekt, eine App für IPhone, Mac, IPad. Wer eine Notiz-Buch App sucht die mehr kann als nur schreiben ist hier richtig. Für Studium, Schule, Geschäft und Privat sehr zum empfehlen.

Voll funktional

Ich liebte Noteshelf auf meinem ersten iPad. Es hatte einen kleinen Bereich in dem man schreiben konnte. Die Version 2 hat schon viel mehr geboten. Mit Version 3 habe ich einige „alte“ Cover verloren, aber viel Funktionalität hinzugewonnen. Dank Noteshelf 3 brauche ich kaum mehr Notizpapier und kann Präsentationen, welche im Rahmen von Fortbildungen zur Verfügung gestellt werden rasch importieren und mit Notizen versehen. Dass meine Handschrift noch als Druckschrift umgesetzt werden könnte, darauf warte ich noch - ist für mein Verständnis nur eine nice-to-have Funktuon
