Although - as with all ancient languages - we can only guess how they are correctly pronounced, the American English approach in this app certainly is not 'it'.
You simply cannot approach an old European language from an American-of-today angle.
For example the Old English word for 'king' is 'cing' or 'cyning'. Bearing in mind that the modern German word for it is 'König' and the Dutch is 'koning', the general consensus is that
the proper pronunciation of the Old English 'cyning' is with a 'k' and a 'ü', making it 'küning' not 'saining' as it is pronounced in this app. So, sorry, one star only.
