ANNOTATE | PaperShip provides a lot of annotation types which go far beyond what most of the reference managers offer (available through In-App Purchase). And as our tools are compliant with the PDF standard, your annotations will be available in most of the other readers.
METADATA | PaperShip allows you to read and edit article's metadata. You can now add tags, update title or change authors in an easy way whatever the type of document you are reading.
IMPACT | PaperShip is the first reference manager to link your articles to the new almetric data! Just know in real time what are the impacts of your publications inside the scientific community.
MANAGE | PaperShip keeps your articles organized based on your Mendeley/Zotero folders. Add a paper to your favorites or move it to another folder by using an incredible pane and swipe navigation. Your articles will always stay at your fingertips with the search engine.

Mobile Zotero Annotation
Since Zotero won’t make it’s own app for IOS any time soon, if at all, this app tries to fill that gap. You can add items, read and annotate pdfs.
Adding files is very limited, I would love it if they could manage to somehow let you import items via safari or even by identifier. There have to be APIs to add items via ISBN or doi. Manually adding an item is quite the chore. You are better off switching to your laptop for that task.
Annotation works well, sync is fast. The list of items can get somewhat confusing, sometimes I have a hard time finding a specific file. It’s a cute feature, but I have to say that I don’t care that much about impact factor, they could put that space to better use.
The concept of the inbox feels out of place to me. It’s not an email account. Why not call it recently added and let me choose how far back the added items are displayed...
I like the app. It works well for my workflow, I do the research on my MacBook and use the IPad to read and annotate the pdfs. But I feel that the app could greatly benefit from some UI improvements. If you only want to manage your Zotero library however, I don’t recemend it.
Handwritten Note Sync
I cant give more then 3 stars. Although it does lync to mendeley what I appreciate, have I paid for annotations, but the annotations do not sync back into mendeley. Still, its a good place to store your PDFs (you can only annotate PDFs btw,.. so all other formats need to be converted). It syncs with Mendeley, but as I said, for me, the annotations do not sync. Still worth 10$
Log. In
Unable to log in but have been sent request to rate an app I am unable to explore and know nothing about. My mendelay login has been rejected! If you request a new update a notice pops up to say they can’t send an email! Tried the website log in chat but it takes far too long to wait for an answer!

Can’t have a look to see if papership is of interest or of use as you have to log in to access it. Absurd!
