Pestle can now refetch images for recipes with low-quality (or no) images.

Also, couple of bug fixes here, including imperial volumes not being preserved through conversions, a crash that could occur on Pro Max iPhones on rotation, a crash that could occur when updating your Cookbook, and a crash that could happen when granting Reminders permission from the recipe viewer page.

If only there was a Mac app

This is an almost perfect app. Unfortunately there is no Mac app (yet). While the iOS version starts on the Mac (thanks to Apple Silicon), it crashes when using the audio command feature or the send shopping list to reminder function.

Thanks for those reports! I can fix up those issues. Could you contact Pestle support through the app with any other bugs you find? I’ll do my best to fix them all.

Underwhelming

Bought the pro version in order to share the recipes with my family, but turns out each member of my family needs to buy the pro version to join my household ??? I feel a bit scammed. Unfortunately, i will not be using the app anymore, although promising. I will stick to the good old fashioned way of documenting my recipes on google docs.

Fantastic app for recipe collection

It is very easy to work with, just go on a website with a recipe and press the pestle button (also on other devices). Pestle collects the ingredients, steps, image and a lot of other information about the recipe (cuisine, servings, time, etc.)
Not only works perfectly for english recipes but others like German, Italian or French as well!
The meal plan is very handy as well and comes with a widget for your homescreen.

The two features I’m missing:
— The app collects recipes with dish categories like ‘desserts’ or ‘main’ - now not every body uses the same words (‘dessert’, ‘patisserie’) or has a need for a ‘small snacks’ categorie. To merge categories and keep the keywords would be great, like that it would sort ‘Süssspeise’ into ‘desserts’ as well.

— I like the list of the recipes with the pictures very much. But with my grand collection it would be handier to always start with categories or cuisines, before recipes.
