Description
With the Salt ID Checker app, you can identify yourself digitally and securely.
Once your contract has been signed (subscription or prepaid) you can carry out a verification of your identity through this application.
Just follow these steps:
- Open the Salt ID Checker app on your smartphone.
- Scan the QR code you received by e-mail from us (if you open it on a computer) or click on the corresponding link in the e-mail (if you open it on your smartphone).
- Scan your ID document.
Then record a video selfie of your face.
That’s it!

Salt mobile SA processes your personal data securely. None of your personal data is stored on your smartphone. The information you enter in the application will only be used to validate your identity document as required by the Swiss law (SPTA 2018). Does the app need to use the 3x zoom on the iPhone? Not only you have to stand in the other room to scan the permit, after struggling to maintain a steady hand for a minute, the app still fails. 3 times in a row without a single success. And 3 times you have to watch the youtube video that cannot be skipped.
