June 23 update with new bugs
Few new bugs in the last update. The app doesn’t react to AirPods controls sometimes. Pauses itself quite often, now I see the pop up about “improvements in my saved books” and it asks me to download now or over Wi-Fi ( even when I am on Wi-Fi). But the funny thing is it says the updates size is Zero kb.
Not the future
In spite of negative rewievs on App Store, installed the app. Found that the Scribd marketeers follow an antique payment model, with automatic prolongation of a "free" trial period (for which you pay with your data and your search behavior).
Use of PayPal is restricted to Paypal accounts linked to a credit card, which for me is a no-go (why use PayPal at all if a CC is ultimately needed?).
Since use of the app's functionality can only be tried after payment method is estalished, I can't comment on that. Neither ist the quality of the content a topic of this review.
Deleted the app since I couldn't check it out. The marketing concept of Scribd is not very futurebound, I think. Too bad, since Amazon etc. should really get some professional competition.

Frustration
If you want to get a severe doze of frustration than install this app. I am a passioante book lover and i try so long to guve chance to this app but it doesnt worth of frustration. It is so slow, when u want to highlight it doesnr work.. i contacted customer service they told ne to reinstall app which i did it but app doesnt recognize my account anymore. Btw i have paid subscription till end of december. I dont recommaned this app!
