Practice Chinese writing with Skritter, whether you have a strong grasp of written Chinese and want to remember the characters better or are a beginner who doesn’t know where to start.

If you have seen Chinese writing before, you probably noticed that it requires us to learn characters rather than the roman alphabet we know from English. You can learn it through our “decks” (similar to a card deck) based on topics and difficulty.

The greed is real

Really 15.- a month for a program a twelve year old could code?

A pro version would be fine but now you can’t learn any new words at all without paying this horrendous price!

Sorry, you're not satisfied with the app. You can actually learn hundreds of characters 100% free without creating an account in the guest experience.

The premium price helps us cover costs associated with three study platforms, creating new weekly video content, supporting a continually expanding list of textbooks and study materials, creating in-app audio, and level-appropriate example sentences, and more--you know all the things a twelve-year-old can code :)

Long-term subscriptions bring the price down to $9.99 or less/month--a pretty good value for learning to read and write Chinese if you ask me--I spend $15.00 on a single italki lesson!

Also, you can review anything you've learned for free regardless of your account status. The price is so that we can keep creating new content, expanding features, and continue to support all those interested in learning thousands and thousands of characters long-term.
