Gain convenient remote control of your Sound Devices 688, 664, and 633 mixer/recorders plus MixPre and MixPre II Series recorders with Wingman, a free iOS-based application. Wingman provides clear views of metering and timecode display on the larger screens of iOS smartphones and tablets.

The touchscreen interface is easy to use and provides fast remote-control access to key 6-Series and MixPre Series functionality. With Wingman, users can view meters, start and stop audio recordings, enter and edit metadata, as well as arm/disarm, and rename tracks.

Additionally on the 6-Series, Circle a take or designate False takes with the touch of a fingertip. Create sound reports quickly, and instantly email them directly from your iPhone or iPad.

The Sound Devices WM-Connect hardware accessory is required to operate the 6-Series mixer/recorders with the Wingman app. This accessory is not required for the MixPre Series which have built-in Bluetooth LE. WM-Connect can be purchased separately from an authorized Sound Devices reseller:

Fixed a crash when using Sound Reports on some iOS versions.

nice but,

nice, but quite expensive and not very reliable for all the mistakes and missing possibilities.
hope will come very soon: landscape mode, full take list display, reliable connection and text update, sound report creation for any folder (not only the current folder), take duration in take list, switch between TC and clip duration in big counter display, etc.

5 year old problems still here

I've just read a review from 5 years ago and the issue with text editing in the software hasn't been foxed yet. It's still a huge problem if you wanna change the take number or anything else. It's updating all the time and deleting already written text while you're writing it.

Problem for texts

Is not possible to change the notes, scenes, etc... on the new version for the IPhone X. I have checked with the new version on the 633.
Will be great to have playback on IPad or IPhone with the Bluetooth to send to directors!
